Let’s create a today where our children can thrive!
Protect our little people and their planet with these easy ideas.

Climate Change means the Earth is seeing an unusual change in global temperatures and other weather conditions: rain, storms, rising sea levels…
This is caused by polluting gases that thicken the blanket that covers the earth (atmosphere), trapping more heat from the sun (green house effect).

Green Up Halloween!
We all love a good fun Halloween but it also produces a lot of waste. Make your Halloween a bit kinder to the planet with these tips:
- Get your pumpkins from a local farm (see above for some ideas)
- Use up all of the pumpkin: try pureeing the flesh for soup, roast the seeds for a healthy snack, compost the pumpkin afterwards
- Why not try a Nasa Climate Kids design?
- Make your own costumes, or try these nature masks

Save those Apples!
We waste 30% of the food that we produce globally while our food system creates around 30% of our polluting gases. Avoiding any food waste can help a lot to have a better planet!
Have a look around you. There are many trees in our neighbourhood whose fruit does not get picked up and ends up rotting on the ground. Can you help by taking some of those forgotten apples and turning them into a lovely Apple Pie or having them pressed into Apple Juice or Cider?

What is your planetary impact?
Our world is in crisis – from climate change to the pollution in our oceans and devastation of our forests. We can help fix it! Take your first step with WWF’s UK based environmental footprint calculator and learn which areas of your home cause a higher impact as well as local and national averages.

The most important thing is to request action from government and businesses. Find what feels comfortable to you. Could you try writing to your MP about the recent government delays in Climate Plans?
