This year we celebrated Sustainable Amersham’s 5th birthday, prompting us to look towards the next 5 years and ask some questions: How can we work together as a community to ensure Amersham and its surroundings continue to thrive into 2030 and beyond? What challenges and opportunities related to the climate-biodiversity crisis are people facing? How do we respond to these in joined-up ways?
To build on the amazing work that countless people are already doing, we’re planning a series of community-wide events to hear what’s important to the people of Amersham and surrounding areas and, looking ahead, to help shape collective, meaningful action. We’d love to hear from you.
People’s Emergency Briefing
On 2nd July Sustainable Amersham, in Partnership with Amersham Town Council, screened the People’s Emergency briefing. There were over 120 representatives from local business and organisations.
We’ve had lots of positive feedback, including from our local MP, Sarah Green MP who attended on the night and signed the Parliamentary Call for a nationwide screening.
She loved the map of Amersham where attendees added how they are already making a positive difference. She also remarked what an achievement it was to get representatives from so many organisations.
