Come and rake with other volunteers to restore a wildflower meadow and create an areas for amphibians, reptiles, hedgehogs and insects to find refuge in.
Our trained scythers will scythe the grass, and you will rake it up and put it in a pile for amphibians, reptiles, hedgehogs and insects to find a home in. If you would like to come and help, please email us.
This will make make space for the unique chalkland and other wildflowers which in turn will bring different types of insects and butterflies that in turn feed amphibians and birds.
This event is open to anyone who is happy to help – you don’t need any special skills. You just need to wear sturdy, waterproof shoes and old clothes. You may also want to bring sunlotion. We will provide tools as well as cake and hot drinks. Toilets and parking on site.
