Talk: Where have all the swifts gone? – 13th May

7:30pm to 8:20pm – Online

The sight of boomerang-shaped swifts tearing through azure skies was once a common feature of English summers, but these iconic birds have declined by over 70%.

Join us for an online talk with Edward Mayer, founder of Swift Conservation, to discover why they are disappearing and how we can help bring them back.

What to expect

  • hear from a national expert on swift conservation
  • learn practical ways to support swifts in your own area
  • meet others interested in local biodiversity
  • ask questions in a relaxed online setting

Tickets are free, or a small donation if you would like to help support Wild Amersham’s work. Book a place on Eventbrite

This talk is linked to the Bring it Back initiative, a collaboration between Wild Amersham, Amersham Museum, Amersham Town Council, and St Mary’s Church. The project brings history and biodiversity together to help young people restore nature in the churchyard.
