Climate Justice
Climate justice is growing as a organising principle for climate action. Guiding policy-making such as the Loss and Damage Fund of COP27, it is clear that climate action must prioritise the just transition to a low-carbon economy. To learn more about the climate justice concept, read the introductory piece on our website for an explanation of what climate justice is and links to other key resources.

Amersham Toy Re-homing – helps your pocket, the planet and your sanity!
Little green adventures first Toy Swap took place on Saturday 24th February. 50 families came to Amersham library to swap their toys or take some toys for a small donation. Families were really excited and we managed to swap 200 toys.
Watch out for our next Toy swap coming in June!
Looking ahead, little green adventures is organising a Family Cooking session on the 20th of April and a visit to a local Sustainable Farm on the 22nd of May.
Watch this space for more information on both events!

Wild Amersham – lovely wild activities in February!
- Some 40 people joined online for a nature talk co-hosted by Wild Amersham and Prestwood Nature.
Engaging naturalist John Tyler had lots of stunning photos and fascinating stories about weird and wonderful winter creatures. - On 4th February, a group of St Mary’s School families planted 12 heritage fruit trees in the wildflower meadow orchard -the work was done in no time!
- On 14th February, 23 excited children started national nestbox week by constructing and decorating nest boxes and apple feeders for garden birds at Amersham Band.
- And on 26th February, a group of volunteers braved the freezing wind for a ‘wild gym’ session to prune and mulch the native hedge at Amersham Band.
It has also been lovely to see that the first spring flowers are appearing in the wildflower meadows at the Amersham Hospital project- this would not be happening if the lawns were still being mown so that’s an early wild win already!
If you would like to get our monthly Wild Amersham email newsletter (with more detailed information about Wild Amersham’s nature work and events as well as those of other nature organisations in the local area), please fill out this short form or email us.
