On a very rainy Wednesday evening 18th October we held our 3rd AGM combined with our first ever People Planet Pint social event at The Beech House.
The AGM marked the end of a very successful year, with new project teams (Wild Amersham, Book Club and Little Green Adventures), an established Repair Café, greater presence on social media and local press and more supporters.
All four officers were re-elected for another year.
The minutes will be available shortly and the Annual Report is on our website.

The AGM was followed by our first social gathering in partnership with People Planet Pint. It was a thrill to welcome so many new faces to our community and to watch conversations unfold. From students to business people to grandparents – people sat and shared their stories and aspirations for climate action. People interested in rewilding and biodiversity renewal, people interested in creating #plasticfree towns, in doing more with less, people deeply concerned about the continued ineffectiveness of our politicians and policy makers.
What we noticed is that people in our local community are desperate to connect with like-valued others. As we move into 2024, we will host more social events so we can get to know one another and figure out collaborations that make Amersham a sustainable and resilient home town to be proud of.
Huge thanks to the Beech House on Hill Avenue for being such a superb venue. Stay tuned!
