Seeds for Bees

“Believe it or not, you have a bee to thank for every one in three bites of food you eat.” — Greenpeace

Bees and other pollinators are declining in abundance in many parts of the world largely due to intensive farming practices, mono-cropping, excessive use of agricultural chemicals and higher temperatures associated with climate change, affecting not only crop yields but also nutrition.

Sustainable Amersham are working with Amersham Town Council and the Community Board to provide 1200 school children from 5 local primary schools with a packet of wildflower seeds each which can be planted in pots to attract bees. We hope to start handing the seeds out from 26th April 2021.
