Drawn into nature – 11th August

2:00pm to 4:30pm – Amersham Museum, 49 High St, Amersham, HP7 0DP

Spend an afternoon in the Museum Garden looking closely at nature, then turn what you notice into something of your own. Local nature artists Marieke Bosman and Adrian Porter will help you slow down and really see a tree, a flower, an insect or a bird, then guide you through some simple techniques for sketching, painting or writing your response. By immersing yourself in the garden, you’ll come away with a personal record of your time there.

What to expect:

  • spend time looking closely at one plant, insect or bird in the Museum Garden
  • learn simple sketching, painting or writing techniques from Marieke and Adrian
  • create your own personal response, in whatever medium suits you
  • use materials provided, or bring your own if you prefer

This event is aimed at teens and adults aged 12 and over. No previous experience of drawing, painting or writing is needed. It’s run in partnership with Amersham Museum.

Tickets are £10, which includes materials and refreshments.

Book your place on the Amersham Museum website.
