Community Toy Swap – 28th June

10am to 1pm, St Michael’s Church, Amersham

Feeling overwhelmed by toys, clothes and books at home?
You’re not alone! Bring your pre-loved items to swap for something new – or donate them so they can find a new home. It’s a fun way to reduce waste, cut down on buying new things, and help the planet too!

Try encouraging ‘one in, one out’ to help your children let go of toys they’ve outgrown while choosing something new to enjoy.

Kids are very welcome! We love seeing children get involved in creating a better future. On the day, please keep an eye on them – there may be small toys around, and we want everyone to stay safe.

Parents For Future volunteers be there to share planet-friendly tips and ideas to help families live greener.

How it works

  1. Look for toys, books, clothes, or costumes your children no longer use and are still in good condition – no plug-in toys please but battery-powered ones are welcome!
  2. A friendly volunteer will meet you at the door to explain how it all works.
  3. Explore what’s on offer and pick the toys, books, or clothes you’d like to take home
  4. Enjoy tea, coffee, and homemade cake while your children look around – you can also explore our other Sustainable Amerersham stalls
  5. Take your toys home and enjoy!

We’re not responsible for the condition of the toys once you take them with you.  If you find an item doesn’t quite work out for you, have a look at how to dispose of toys in a more sustainable way.
