Christmas Toy Swap and Market – 15th of November

10am to 1pm, the Hall at St Michael’s Church, Amersham

This November why not use our swap as an opportunity to get inexpensive pre-loved Christmas gifts?

You’re not alone! Bring your pre-loved items to swap for something new – or donate them so they can find a new home. It’s a fun way to reduce waste, cut down on buying new things, and help the planet too!

There will be Christmas treats and we will have a craft activity. Get you and your kids to make a Christmas tree decoration that we can hang on Sustainable Amersham’s tree as part of St Michel’s annual tree competition!

For this Toy Swap we are planning to set up our Swap in the Hall that is just behind the Church. There will be plenty of guidance on how to get to us on the day.

If the weather is good we may even set up outside!

Kids are very welcome. We love seeing children get involved in creating a better future. On the day, please keep an eye on them – there may be small toys around, and we want everyone to stay safe.

Parents For Future  and Sustainable Amersham volunteers will be there to share planet-friendly tips and ideas to help families live greener.

How it works

  1. Look for toys, books or costumes you or your children no longer use and are still in good condition – no plug-in toys please but battery-powered ones are welcome!
  2. A friendly volunteer will meet you and explain how it all works.
  3. Explore what’s on offer and pick what you’d like to take home
  4. Take your items home and enjoy!

We’re not responsible for the condition of the toys once you take them with you.  If you find an item doesn’t quite work out for you, have a look at how to dispose of toys in a more sustainable way.
