Sustainable Amersham at the Christmas Festival

Come and see us at the Amersham Christmas Festival on Sat. 2nd December, 10am -5pm

We are in St Michaels Church, with ideas for a sustainable Christmas and lovely little houseplant presents to buy!

This year the AAG are putting on the Amersham Christmas Festival with Amersham Town Council. We can do this with the help of great local sponsors: The Entertainer, J Brown Funeral Services, Tax assist Accountants, Kokum Restaurant, D C Kaye and Co Solicitors

Sycamore Road will be closed for the day and there will be an outdoor market, 40 plus stalls, a mix of crafts, food, drink etc. We also have street entertainment from 12pm, something which the children will love and live music on stage from 12pm too, a mix of music for all ages and including a rock band from Dr Challoners Grammar School, who have played for the last two years and are back by popular demand. The event will be opened by the Mayor of Amersham, Elizabeth Shepherd.

Santa’s Grotto opens at 12pm until 4pm. This is FREE to all children and will be outside St Michaels Church with a very special Santa’s Grotto. Chiltern Voice will be there from 10 broadcasting live and helping to entertain too!

We also have an indoor market in St Michaels Church, a mix of Charities and local community groups raising awareness about what they do as well as money for their causes. There is also activities for the children in the Church as well as a café raising money for Wycombe Homeless.

There is a great raffle, with prizes donated by local businesses.

This year we have asked the Amersham in Bloom team to turn on the Christmas Lights, as you know they won so many awards last year, not to mention another gold this year and we wanted to highlight what a great team of people they are, bringing a lot of colour and joy to the people of Amersham.

Finishing off with Carols round the tree.

All money raised from the event goes to 2 local charities: Chiltern Food Bank and Chiltern Toy Bank. Both deserving charities who help local people.
