On 14 February Amersham Band, Wild Amersham and BBOWT held a children’s nature and craft workshop related to garden birds.
23 excited children constructed and decorated nest boxes, made bird feeders, did a quiz about birds, colouring and finger puppets.
Children must be accompanied by an adult and book a free ticket (for the child only). The workshop is probably most suitable for children aged 5 to 13 but all are welcome. Nestboxes can be taken home for a £5 donation, or donated to be put up at the Band nature site or at Amersham Hospital gardens and wildflower meadows. The workshop will be held at the Amersham Band hall on the corner of Rectory Hill and School Lane in Old Amersham. Parking is available but we encourage you to walk or use public transport if you can.
