10:30 to 12:00 – St Mary’s Church, Church St, Amersham, HP7 0DB
Bring it Back brings young adults in Amersham together to learn about and restore some of St Mary’s churchyard’s history and biodiversity. It’s a project between Amersham Museum, Wild Amersham, Amersham Town Council and the Church, and has already added wildflower circles, wildflower plugs and nest boxes to the churchyard.
We’re running a second survey of the churchyard’s wild plants, following on from the first in 2025, to see what’s changed – and your help would make a real difference.
Join a small group of young people already involved to help spot and record what’s growing. No botany knowledge needed, though it’s welcome if you have some. Wear sturdy shoes and bring a phone with the Obs Identify app installed.
What to expect:
- learn about the Bring it Back project and its work in the churchyard
- spot and record wild plants growing there
- use the Obs Identify app to help with identification
- meet other volunteers and young people already involved
This session is free, with space for about 5 more people (ideally aged 18 to 30) and sturdy shoes are a must.
