6:30pm to 8:00pm – Amersham Museum, HP7 0DP
If you’re aged 18 to 25, join us for a free hands-on owl pellet dissection led by Becky from Buckinghamshire Wildlife Trust. Learn what local owls eat, and what the Bring it Back group might do practically to entice these owls into St Mary’s churchyard in Old Amersham.
It’s also a chance to meet other young adults who care about history and wildlife, and are doing something practical for the community through the Bring it Back initiative. All materials, plus tea and coffee, are provided. Email hello@sustainableamersham.org to get involved.
What to expect
- dissect an owl pellet and identify the tiny bones inside
- learn what local owls eat and what that tells us about the local food web
- meet other Bring it Back members and hear what the group is working on
- share ideas for how we can support owls and other wildlife in the churchyard
